ในโอกาสการเยือนกรุงแอดดิสอาบาบา ประเทศเอธิโอเปีย เมื่อวันที่ 1 ตุลาคม 2564 นางสาวศศิริทธิ์ ตันกุลรัตน์ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงไนโรบี พร้อมด้วยนาย Tsegaye Abebe Adugna กงสุลกิตติมศักดิ์ไทยประจำเอธิโอเปีย และนายวิสิษฐ์ บุญฤทธิพงศ์ ที่ปรึกษา ได้เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะ Mr. Damene Darota Damota อธิบดีกรมราชทัณฑ์เอธิโอเปีย เพื่อขอบคุณที่ให้การดูแลนักโทษไทยในเรือนจำเอธิโอเปียเป็นอย่างดี และฝ่ายเอธิโอเปียได้จัดให้เอกอัครราชทูตฯ เข้าเยี่ยมนักโทษไทยในเรือนจำ Kalite กรุงแอดดิสอาบาบาในวันเดียวกัน ซึ่งเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้มอบอาหารและของใช้จำเป็น สอบถามชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ และย้ำหน้าที่ของสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ที่จะให้การดูแลอย่างใกล้ชิดต่อไป

นอกจากนี้ เมื่อวันที่ 2 ตุลาคม 2564 เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้พบปะตัวแทนคนไทยในเอธิโอเปียและอาสาสมัครเยาวชนไทยประจำองค์กร International Youth Forum (IYF) ในกรุงแอดดิสอาบาบา และยินดีที่ทราบว่าทุกคนมีชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ที่ดี

During the visit to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Miss Sasirit Tangulrat, Ambassador of Thailand, together with Mr. Tsegaye Abebe Adugna, Honorary Consul of Thailand for Ethiopia, and Mr. Wisit Bunyaritthipong, Counsellor, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Damene Darota Damota, Commissioner General of Federal Prison Commission of Ethiopia and expressed Thailand's gratitude for properly looking after Thai inmates in Ethiopian prison. On this occasion, the Commisisoner General arranged a visit to Kalite Prison for the Ambassador on the same day to meet and talk with the Thai inmates, provide food and necessities, and ensure the Embassy's role to provide them close protection.

Furthermore, on 2 October 2021, Ambassador Sasirit met with representatives of Thai nationals, including the Thai volunteers at the International Youth Forum (IYF), and is pleased to learn that all are doing well in Ethiopia.
