เมื่อวันที่ 1 ตุลาคม 2564 นางสาวศศิริทธิ์ ตันกุลรัตน์ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงไนโรบี พร้อมด้วยนาย Tsegaye Abebe Adugna กงสุลกิตติมศักดิ์ไทยประจำเอธิโอเปีย และนายวิสิษฐ์ บุญฤทธิพงศ์ ที่ปรึกษา ได้เข้าพบกับ Dr. Emile Rwagasana ตำแหน่ง Deputy Chief of Staff ขององค์กรสหภาพแอฟริกา (African Union - AU) ณ สำนักงานใหญ่ AU กรุงแอดดิสอาบาบา ประเทศเอธิโอเปีย และหารือขั้นตอนการแต่งตั้งให้เอกอัครราชทูตฯ เป็นผู้แทนถาวรไทยประจำ AU ซึ่งฝ่าย AU ยินดีที่ทราบความตั้งใจของไทยที่จะพัฒนาความสัมพันธ์และความร่วมมือกับ AU ในอนาคตต่อไป

On 1 October 2021, Miss Sasirit Tangulrat, Ambassador of Thailand, together with Mr. Tsegaye Abebe Adugna, Honorary Consul of Thailand for Ethiopia, and Mr. Wisit Bunyaritthipong, Counsellor, met with Dr. Emile Rwagasana, Deputy Chief of Staff, the African Union (AU) at the AU head quarter in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Both sides discussed the procedure to accredit Thai ambassador as permanent representative of Thailand to the AU, which the AU side welcomed Thailand's intention to forge and develop relations and cooperation with the AU in the future.
