เมื่อวันที่ 5 กรกฎาคม 2564 นางสาวศศิริทธิ์ ตันกุลรัตน์ เอกอัครราชทูตไทยเข้าเยี่ยมคารวะนางสาว Raychelle Awour Omamo รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศเคนยา โดยฝ่ายเคนยามีหัวหน้าสำนักรัฐมนตรี อธิบดีกรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศ และเจ้าหน้าที่ผู้แทนอธิบดีกรมเอเชียฯ เข้าร่วมการหารือ
เอกอัครราชทูตได้เน้นย้ำความร่วมมือที่ไทยต้องการผลักดันเป็นลำดับแรก ได้แก่ การส่งเสริมการค้าการลงทุนระหว่างไทยกับเคนยา ซึ่งมีแนวโน้มที่ดีขึ้นจากช่วงการระบาดของโควิด-19 ในปีที่ผ่านมา
การส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวและธุรกิจที่เกี่ยวข้อง ความร่วมมือด้านสาธารณสุขซึ่งสอดรับกับนโยบายหลักประกันสุขภาพถ้วนหน้าของเคนยา ความร่วมมือเพื่อการพัฒนาด้านการแปรรูปและการเพิ่มมูลค่าผลผลิตทางเกษตรและการประมง โดยจะร่วมมือกับโรงเรียนการเกษตรเคนยา (Kenya School of Agriculture) และสถาบันวิจัยทางทะเลเคนยา (Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute) ตลอดจนการเตรียมการสำหรับกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ เนื่องในโอาสครบรอบ 55 ปี ความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่างไทยกับเคนยาในปี 2565 ด้วย
รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศยินดีที่ไทยพร้อมจะร่วมมือกับเคนยาในสาขาที่สำคัญซึ่งจำเป็นต่อการพัฒนาของเคนยา โดยฝ่ายเคนยาพร้อมที่จะเรียนรู้บทเรียนความสำเร็จของไทยและประเทศต่าง ๆ ในเอเชียมากขึ้น และเห็นว่าสามารถยกระดับความร่วมมือด้านต่างๆ กับไทยมากยิ่งขึ้นได้ โดยเฉพาะโครงการลงทุนขนาดใหญ่ในรูปแบบ การร่วมทุนระหว่างรัฐกับเอกชนหรือ Public-Private Partnership (PPP) การเพิ่มมาตรฐานสาธารณสุขในระดับท้องถิ่น การวิจัยเพื่อการผลิตวัคซีน ความมั่นคงทางทะเล และความร่วมมือด้านกระบวนการยุติธรรม

On 5 July 2021, Ambassador of Thailand paid a courtesy call to Ambassador Raychelle Omamo , Cabinet Secretary of Foreign Affairs, also presented at the meeting were Chief of Staff, Director General of Multilateral and International Affairs, and a representative of Director of Asia Directorate.
Ambassador Sasirit reiterated Thailand’s commitment in strengthening bilateral cooperation with Kenya in the areas that are mutually beneficial, including trade and investment which has been significantly boosted since the beginning of this year; tourism and related businesses which was a backbone of our two economies; public health which was in line with Kenya's Universal Health Care policy; food processing and value addition to agricultural and fishery products. Ambassador Sasirit also mentioned the preparation for a series of events to commemorate the 55th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Kenya in 2022.
Cabinet Secretary expressed her appreciation on Thailand's intention to further engage with Kenya in key areas. In the meantime, Amb. Omamo said that Kenya was now more of looking towards the lessons learned and successful stories from Thailand and other countries in Asia, and ready to enhance cooperation in other areas, including Public-Private Partnership (PPP) investment projects, improve public health standards in a county level, research and development of vaccine manufacturing, and cooperation in criminal justice.
