เมื่อวันที่ 15 ก.พ. 2565 น.ส.ศศิริทธิ์ ตันกุลรัตน์ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงไนโรบี ได้พบหารือกับพันโท ไกศิน สาสุนีย์ ผู้บังคับกองร้อยทหารช่างเฉพาะกิจ ไทย/เซาท์ซูดาน ผลัดที่ 2 ภายใต้ภารกิจรักษาสันติภาพของสหประชาชาติในเซาท์ซูดาน (United Nations Mission in South Sudan – UNMISS) ผ่านระบบออนไลน์ ซึ่งทางกองร้อยฯ แสดงความขอบคุณสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ที่ได้จัดส่งชุดตรวจ ATK ยาสมุนไพรฟ้าทะลายโจร ยาสามัญประจำบ้าน และอุปกรณ์สำหรับการป้องกันการติดเชื้อไวรัสโคโรนา 2019 (โควิด-19) เช่น หน้ากากอนามัย ชุด PPE ให้ในจังหวะที่สถานการณ์การระบาดของโควิด-19 ในเซาท์ซูดานยังคงน่าเป็นห่วง ภายใต้โครงการช่วยเหลือคนไทยในต่างประเทศในสถานการณ์การแพร่ระบาดของโควิด-19 ที่สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ดำเนินการอยู่ทั้งในเคนยาและประเทศต่าง ๆ ในเขตอาณา นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังได้แลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลสถานการณ์ในภาพรวมในเซาท์ซูดาน และปฏิบัติหน้าที่ของผู้แทนไทยในภารกิจ UNMISS ซึ่งสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้ยืนยันความพร้อมที่จะให้การสนับสนุนอย่างเต็มที่ต่อไป

On 15 February 2022, H.E. Miss Sasirit Tangulrat, Ambassador, held an online meeting with Lieutenant-Colonel Kaisin Sasunee, Commander of the Thai Horizontal Military Engineering Company (THAI HMEC) in the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS). The THAI HMEC extended deep appreciation to the Royal Thai Embassy in Nairobi for the timely contribution of the Antigen Test Kits, "Fa Thalai Chon" Thai herbal medicines, basic household medicines, and protection kits for the fight against Corona Virus 2019 (COVID-19) such as sugical masks and PPEs amidst the ongoing spread of COVID-19 in South Sudan. This contribution is part of the Royal Thai Embassy in Nairobi's project to alleviate the difficulties that Thai nationals in Kenya and other countries within its jurisdiction face under the COVID-19 situation. Furthermore, both sides exchanged views on the overall situation in South Sudan and the mission of THAI HMEC under UNMISS, which the Royal Thai Embassy in Nairobi stands ready to support.
