On 31 July -3 August 2018, Mr. Pisit Serewiwattana, President of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Bank) and his delegation visited Kenya to explore ways to promote trade and investment between Thailand and Kenya. The EXIM Bank president, accompanied by H.E. Mr. Cherdkiat Atthakor, Ambassador of Thailand to Kenya, met with high-level representatives of various Kenyan entities in both public and private sector, including the Central Bank of Kenya, Kenya Investment Authority(KenInvest), Export Processing Zones Authority (EPZA), Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM), Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA), Commercial Bank of Africa (CBA), Jamii Telecommunication Ltd., Jade Collection, Honda Motorcycle Kenya, Megh Cushion Kenya Ltd., and M-Pesa team of Safaricom. Among issues discussed are the EXIM Bank's export insurance and financing as well as investment environment in Kenya.
