สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงไนโรบี ขอแสดงความยินดีกับคุณสุภิญญา สมมาตร และคุณไอชา มาราศรี ที่ได้รับคัดเลือกเป็น “กงสุลอาสา” คนแรกของประเทศเอธิโอเปียและแทนซาเนีย ตามลำดับ โดยตัวแทนสถานทูตได้มอบใบประกาศเกียรติคุณ เข็มกลัดเชิดชูเกียรติ และเสื้อกงสุลอาสา ประจำปี 2566 ให้แก่บุคคลทั้งสอง เพื่อเป็นการขอบคุณที่ทั้งสองท่านได้อุทิศตนช่วยสถานทูตดูแลและให้ความช่วยเหลือที่จำเป็นเร่งด่วนแก่คนไทยในพื้นที่เป็นอย่างดีเรื่อยมา
กรมการกงสุล กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้ริเริ่มโครงการกงสุลอาสาขึ้น เพื่อยกย่องคนไทยและเครือข่ายคนไทยในต่างประเทศที่ให้การสนับสนุนภารกิจด้านกงสุลของสถานเอกอัครราชทูตและสถานกงสุลใหญ่ โดยเฉพาะการคุ้มครองและดูแลคนไทยในต่างประเทศ
The Royal Thai Embassy in Nairobi congratulates Miss Supinya Sommart and Miss Aisha Marasri on their awarding as Volunteer Consul in Ethiopia and Tanzania respectively. The Embassy's representatives presented them the “Volunteer Consul Award 2023” certificates together with pins and vest jackets as tokens of appreciation for their dedication in coordinating with Embassy to provide urgent and necessary consular services for Thai nationals in Ethiopia and Tanzania.
The Volunteer Consul Award is initiated by Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, to give recognition to a Thai person and a network of Thai community abroad for their contribution to the consular work of Thai Embassies and Consulates, especially on the protection of Thai nationals abroad.
