เมื่อวันที่ 9 กุมภาพันธ์ 2564 เอกอัครราชทูตไทย ณ กรุงไนโรบี พร้อมด้วย ผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานส่งเสริมการค้าในต่างประเทศ เข้าพบนาย Henry Mwenda Rithaa ผู้อำนวยการ Micro and Small Enterprises Authority (MSEA) ซึ่งเป็นหน่วยงานภายใต้กระทรวงอุตสาหกรรม การค้า และการพัฒนาธรุกิจเคนยา เพื่อหารือแนวทางการสร้างความร่วมมือทางการค้าโดยเฉพาะธุรกิจขนาดเล็กและขนาดย่อมซึ่งเป็นปัจจัยสำคัญในการขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจของไทยและเคนยา
ในการนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้นำเสนอภาพรวมเกี่ยวกับเศรษฐกิจไทย นโยบายทางเศรษฐกิจ และมาตรการการส่งเสริมการค้าการลงทุนของไทยให้แก่ฝ่ายเคนยาได้รับทราบ ซึ่งฝ่ายเคนยาได้แสดงความสนใจและพร้อมที่จะร่วมเสริมและการพัฒนาธุรกิจขนาดกลาง ขนาดเล็ก และขนาดย่อมของทั้งสองฝ่าย

Thailand and Kenya are ready to develop SMEs.

On 9 February 2021, Ambassador Sasirit Tangulrat, together with Mr. Natthapong Senanarong, Director of the Commerical Affairs office Thai Trade Center,Nairobi had a meeting with Mr. Henry Mwenda Rithaa, Director General and CEO of the Micro and Small Enterprises Authority -MSEA under the Ministry of Industrialization, Trade, and Enterprise Development of Kenya.

During the meeting, Ambassador Sasirit gave a presentation on the overview of Thai economy, core economic policies and incentives the Government offers for foreign investors in Thailand. Both side expressed readiness to enhance trade cooperation in particular small and medium/or micro and small enteprises, which are crucial driving force of both Kenyan and Thai economies
