เมื่อวันที่ 4 ธันวาคม 2566 สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงไนโรบี จัดงานเลี้ยงรับรองเนื่องในวันคล้ายวันพระบรมราชสมภพ พระบาทสมเด็จพระบรมชนกาธิเบศร มหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดชมหาราช บรมนาถบพิตร วันชาติ และวันพ่อแห่งชาติ ณ โรงแรม Serena กรุงไนโรบี มีผู้เข้าร่วมงาน ประมาณ 250 คน ประกอบด้วย คณะทูตานุทูต ผู้แทนองค์การระหว่างประเทศ ผู้แทนภาครัฐและภาคเอกชนของเคนยา สื่อมวลชน รวมทั้งชุมชนไทยในเคนยา
นายต่อศักดิ์ จันทร์เพียร อุปทูตฯ สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงไนโรบี และ Ambassador Moi Lemoshira อธิบดีกรมการเมืองและการทูต กระทรวงการต่างประเทศและกิจการโพ้นทะเลเคนยาในฐานะแขกเกียรติยศ ได้กล่าวสุนทรพจน์น้อมรำลึกถึงพระมหากรุณาธิคุณของพระบาทสมเด็จพระบรมชนกาธิเบศร มหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดชมหาราช บรมนาถบพิตร ความสำคัญของสถาบันพระมหากษัตริย์ การส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างไทย-เคนยา ในทุกมิติ ซึ่งรวมถึงการกระชับความร่วมมือทางการค้า การลงทุน การท่องเที่ยว ตลอดจนการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือเพื่อการพัฒนาระหว่างไทยกับเคนยาทั้งในด้านการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้และเทคโนโลยีด้านการเกษตรของไทยให้กับฝ่ายเคนยา และการถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้ด้านระบบหลักประกันสุขภาพถ้วนหน้า (Universal Health Coverage) ของไทยให้กับเคนยา นอกจากนี้ ภายในงานยังมีการแสดงนิทรรศการเกี่ยวกับปรัชญาเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง นิทรรศกาลศิลปะภาพวาดไทย การแสดงนาฏศิลป์ โดยคณะนาฏศิลป์จาก สถาบันบัณฑิตพัฒนศิลป์ การบรรเลงเพลงพระราชนิพนธ์โดยวงดนตรีประสานเสียงจากเคนยาและวงดนตรีแจ๊ซเคนยา (Ricky na Marafiki) การแสดงมวยไทยโดยค่ายมวย Colosseum การแสดงรำไทยจากชุมชนไทยในเคนยา
นอกจากนี้ ภายในงานยังมีการจับสลากรางวัลต่าง ๆ ให้กับแขกผู้โชคดีภายในงาน ได้แก่ รางวัลตั๋วเครื่องบินไป-กลับ กรุงไนโรบี-กรุงเทพฯ จากสายการบินเคนยาแอร์เวย์ บัตรรับประทานอาหารจากร้านอาหารไทยในกรุงไนโรบีที่ได้รับมาตรฐานรางวัล Thai Select Award จากสำนักงานส่งเสริมการค้าในต่างประเทศ ณ กรุงไนโรบี บัตรรางวัลที่พักโรงแรมในกรุงไนโรบี บัตรรางวัลนวดสปาไทย และชุดของขวัญสินค้าไทยจากบริษัทผู้นำเข้าสินค้าไทยในเคนยา
On 4 December 2023, Mr. Torsak Janpian, Minister Counsellor and Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Kenya hosted a Reception on the occasion of Thailand’s National Day, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great's Birthday Anniversary, and Thai Father’s Day at Serena Hotel in Nairobi. The reception was attended by approximately 250 guests, including Diplomatic Corps, high-level representatives from United Nations in Nairobi, officials from the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of Kenya, various public and private agencies of Kenya, the Thai community and Friends of Thailand.
On this occasion, the Thai Chargé d’Affaires a.i. and Ambassador Moi Lemoshira, Director-General, Foreign Service, Political & Diplomatic Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of Kenya as the guest of honour delivered remarks to commemorate His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great’s Birthday Anniversary, and ways forward to foster relations between Thailand and Kenya in all dimensions.
Beside the official ceremony, there were also a number of activities, including the exhibitions on the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) bestowed by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, the masterpieces of Thai traditional paintings, Muaythai demonstration from Muay Thai Kenya, The Colosseum Fitness Center , the traditional dances from Bunditpattanasilpa Institute of Fine Arts of Thailand, the special performance by the Thai community in Kenya, the jazz music performance of songs composed by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great by Kenya jazz band (Ricky na Marafiki), and raffles consisting of air tickets to Thailand by Kenya Airways, Thai meal and Thai spa vouchers, accommodation vouchers from Tribe Hotel Kenya / Trademark Hotel in Nairobi, and gift sets from Thai products' importers (Jade Concepts KE Aryuv Agencies Ltd and Mirage Industries Ltd)
